County Championship D1, Worcester, day one (close): Worcestershire v Warwickshire 385-5
Former England batsman Jim Troughton smashed his second century of the season as Warwickshire rattled up 385-5 on day one against Worcestershire.
Bears skipper Darren Maddy chose to bat but saw opening partner Ian Westwood out for two, then fell for a duck.
However, left-hander Troughton, grandson of former Doctor Who star Patrick Troughton, notched 29 fours.
He shared 154 with wicket-keeper Tim Ambrose, who hit 17 fours to record his second Championship ton for the county.
Troughton, who survived a return chance to Richard Jones shortly before recording his 12th century, his 12 boundaries in his first 50 but was finally dismissed propping forward to Gareth Batty after a 37-over stand with Ambrose.
Jones, a 20-year-old seamer making his Championship debut in place of Australian Doug Bollinger who reported unfit with a side strain, uprooted Jonathan Trott's middle stump before Troughton shared in consecutive century stands to put Warwickshire in the ascendancy.
