England spinner Monty Panesar captured five wickets as Worcestershire's title challenge faded at Northamptonshire.

Panesar's haul came off 37.3 overs, with Worcestershire dismissed for 281 as Northants extended their advantage to 85 at 24-0 in their second innings.

Graeme Hick drove Panesar through mid-wicket for his 150th first-class 50 and was supported by Gareth Batty, who made 37 before he fell at silly point.

Roger Sillence hit a 72-ball 50 but was last out, driving Panesar to mid-on.
