Warwickshire failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Twenty20 Cup despite beating rivals Worcestershire by 11 runs at New Road.

Chasing 197, Worcestershire looked capable of victory while Vikram Solanki (90) and Graeme Hick were together.

But the stand was broken when Hick (26) was bowled by Alex Loudon, who also dismissed Ben Smith, Gareth Batty and Roger Sillence to finish with 4-20.

The Bears had earlier reached 196-7 thanks chiefly to Jonathan Trott's 61.
