Middlesex 323 & 330 v Warwickshire 272 & 221-3Jim Troughton struck his first century of the season to put Warwickshire in with a fighting chance of victory against Middlesex at Lord's.
The visitors, set 382 to win after dismissing Middlesex for 330, were 221-3 after day three.
Troughton, whose 119 included 12 fours and four six and came off 116 balls, put on 187 with Nick Knight (67 not out) to rescue their side from 6-2.
Makhaya Ntini earlier took 5-69, while in-form Owais Shah hit an unbeaten 156.
The former England batsman clubbed 15 fours and two sixes, adding to his first-innings 63.
But he was let down badly by his team-mates as the hosts lost their last seven wickets for 49 runs.
