| County Championship D1, Sophia Gardens, day one (stumps): Glamorgan v Middlesex 396-6Owais Shah led the way as Middlesex made the most of helpful conditions to rattle up 396-6 on day one against struggling Glamorgan in Cardiff. Shah (101) added 109 with skipper Ben Hutton (73) after the early loss of Ed Smith and most of the other batsmen also made good starts before falling. With the home side tiring, Jamie Dalrymple, who was unbeaten on 57 and Paul Weekes added quick runs late on. Huw Waters was the pick of the bowlers and finished with figures of 3-67.
