Wickets tumble in Edgbaston match
County Championship D1, Edgbaston (day one, stumps): Warwickshire 208; Gloucestershire 29-3

Thirteen wickets fell on the first day of the Warwickshire v Gloucestershire match at Edgbaston in Division One of the County Championship on Wednesday.

Warwickshire were all out for 208 despite an innings of 84 from Jim Troughton, Malinga Bandara and Steve Kirby sharing seven wickets.

On a day of remarkably slow scoring, Gloucestershire then slumped to 29-3 in reply as Neil Carter struck twice.

South African-born Grant Hodnett, on debut, was unbeaten on 12 at stumps.
