Dominic Cork took a hat-trick as Lancashire downed Nottinghamshire by seven wickets to go through to the next round of the Twenty20 Cup. With Yorkshire losing to Durham, the Lightning took second place in their group to earn a last-eight spot.
Cork dismissed Kevin Pietersen, Mark Ealham and Samit Patel in successive balls to restrict the Outlaws to 79-5.
The former England player then hit the winning runs in a match reduced to eight overs each by rain.
