Australian Shane Watson led the Hawks to 177-3 with an unbeaten 97 from 68 balls, including three sixes.
And Dimitri Mascarenhas claimed 3-20 as the Spitfires were bowled out for 112, Matt Walker top-scoring with 38.
Watson was playing in his last match at the Rose Bowl before captain Shane Warne's return from international duty.
