County Championship D2, Taunton (stumps): Somerset 375 v Durham 9-0 Teenager James Hildreth hit a century in only his second first-class match for Somerset against Durham.
The 19-year-old was eventually out for 101 after hitting 13 fours and two sixes at Taunton.
Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar made his seasonal debut for Durham and took 3-63, including that of Hildreth's.
Somerset were all out for 375 at the end of the day's play, with Keith Dutch (72) and captain Jamie Cox weighing in with 66 to rack up a useful total.
