  Latest scorecard

They bowled Cardiff UCCE out for 216 but Glamorgan did not have it all their own way on the opening day of their three-day fixture at Sophia Gardens.

Left-arm pace man James Tomlinson, who will rejoin Hampshire when term ends, took two wickets to see the senior side stutter to 134 for four at stumps.

David Hemp made 70 before becoming the third wicket to fall, caught off the bowling of Indian-born spinner Tanuj Sud.

Sud and Tomlinson had earlier shared in a spirited last-wicket stand worth 52, Sud ending the innings 31 not out.

Skipper Alastair Bressington, who appeared in six first-class matches for Gloucestershire last season, made 58 for the students.
