Break He then took a three-month break from the game and missed the home series against Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
Lara returned to the West Indies side for the tour of England, where they lost the Test series 3-1 and failed to reach the final of the triangular one-day competition. His successor as skipper, Jimmy Adams, has been re-appointed for this winter's tour to Australia. The West Indies Cricket Board endorsed his position at their weekend meeting. They have also accepted invitation to tour Zimbabwe for the first time in June and July next year.
