Dawson names young Manx side to face Gibraltar

Seb Aycock was the top wicket taker at the European U-17 Championships

Isle of Man cricket coach Gareth Dawson has named a young side for the island's forthcoming tour of Gibraltar.

The squad features five of the team that won July's ICC European Under-17 Championships on home soil.

Dawson told BBC Isle of Man: "I'm in a great position at the moment with so many young players pushing for their place in the Senior side."

The island will face Gibraltar in a 50-over match on Saturday 18 September and play two Twenty20 matches the next day.

Dawson continued: "Gibraltar play their cricket in European Division Two which is a division above us. It will be a really good test."

In July, the island's under-17 side were crowned the ICC European Division Two champions and Shaun Kelly, Seb Aycock, Adam Killey, Ryan Burns and Dan Hawke all take their place in the Senior side.

The Isle of Man captain is yet to be announced.
