India bounced back from their shock defeat to Zimbabwe to beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the second match of the triangular series in Bulawayo.

Angelo Mathews hit 75 and stand-in captain Tillakaratne Dilshan notched 61 as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 242.

Rohit Sharma spearheaded India's chase, hitting an unbeaten 101 of 100 balls - his second ton in successive matches.

And with Virat Kohli chipping in with 82 India wrapped up the victory with nearly seven overs to spare.

"It's always nice getting hundreds in consecutive matches," said man of the match Sharma, who notched 114 against hosts Zimbabwe on Friday.

"This wicket was really nice to bat on, still a bit on the slower side. We knew if we got one big partnership, we would get the target."

Dilshan admitted conditions, which had eased after overnight rain, had left his team with a difficult task.

"I tried to bring the fielders up to prevent easy singles, but there was nothing in the wicket," he said.

Zimbabwe remain top of the table ahead of India because of their superior run rate.

Sri Lanka next face Zimbabwe on Tuesday in Bulawayo, while India have the chance to gain revenge for their opening six-wicket loss to the hosts in Harare on Thursday.
