England debutant James Tredwell is given his cap by captain Alastair Cook before the third day's action gets underway in the Test match in Mirpur in Bangladesh
England resume on 171-3 at the start of day three, chasing Bangladesh's first innings total of 419, but the day does not start well when Jonathan Trott gets himself into a tangle over Shakib Al Hasan's delivery
Trott fails to add to his overnight score of 64. Matt Prior tries to pick up the pace but is lucky to survive a massive lbw shout from Rubel Hossain when he is on nine
Prior and Ian Bell both rack up 50s before Prior is sent back to the pavilion for 62 after dancing down the track and missing one from Shakib which pitches outside leg stump and hits the top of off
It goes from bad to worse for Bangladesh in the field as their confident appeal for a bat-pad catch off new batsmen Tim Bresnan is turned down, replays show there was an inside edge
Ian Bell is steadfast at the other end though. He celebrates his 10th Test century after lunch, though it is the first time he has been the first batsmen in an England innings to get to three figures
Bresnan makes the most of his early let off to hit a maiden Test 50, the burly Yorkshire player ended the day unbeaten on 74, but Bangladesh are left to rue the lack of a referral system in this series
Shakib is perhaps a little bit too gleeful as he shows the run out Graeme Swann the way back to the pavilion, but you can hardly blame the Bangladesh captain after some of the decisions that have gone against his team
England's sun-baked supporters see their team finish the day with a lead of 21 runs on 440-8, with a knock of 138 for Ian Bell, but Bangladesh are left to reflect on a string of controversial decisions
