South Africa win the toss and bat first in the fourth one-day international in Port Elizabeth, but captain Graeme Smith is soon back in the pavilion as Stuart Broad strikes
Smith is trapped lbw for two to leave South Africa 6-1 in the second over in Port Elizabeth
South Africa are in a spot of bother when Hashim Amla departs for 11, beaten for pace by James Anderson, to leave the hosts 24-2 in the seventh over. Good start by England
Amla had been in good form for South Africa, smashing 143 runs in two matches before Sunday's ODI but it was a soft wicket to give away
Anderson takes his second wicket of the game when JP Duminy gloves a short ball to Matt Prior behind the wicket
Tim Bresnan is brought into the attack and gets a wicket in his first over when AB de Villiers is given out lbw. The batsman is not happy with the decision but he has to walk and South Africa are 55-4
De Villiers, who hit a magnificent century in Cape Town on Friday, trudges off and you can have some sympathy with him, it was a 50/50 decision but the luck was not with him
But there is no mistaking Mark Boucher's dismissal as he is clean bowled by Anderson for 13, South Africa slumping to 78-5
Anderson then snaffles Johan Botha with a brilliant delivery to take a five-wicket haul in the match, his first in one-day international cricket, at the 120th time of asking, and end with career-best figures of 5-23
One bright star in an otherwise abject batting display by South Africa is Alviro Petersen, who completes his third fifty on the trot
South Africa are dismissed for 119, leaving England needing 120 to take a 2-1 lead in the series, but opener Jonathan Trott has a lucky escape when the umpire gives him the benefit of the doubt on an lbw decision
Andrew Strauss plays it sensibly and at the lunch interval England reach 37-0 with all 10 wickets in tact. But he does eventually lose his wicket, out for 32 with England 74-1
And Kevin Pietersen barely troubles the scorers, he is dropped on nought before chipping a catch to De Villiers at mid-wicket after scoring just three runs
Despite a wobble by England, with Paul Collingwood out for two, Trott keeps a cool head to record an unbeaten half-century and help guide England to a seven-wicket win with more than 18 overs to spare
Smith shakes hands with Trott and England take a 2-1 lead into the final match of the one-day series, at Durban on Friday
