Ireland will face Australia in a one-day international on 17 June 2010 at Clontarf's Castle Avenue.

Cricket Ireland supremo Warren Duetrom is hoping that it can copy the success of last month's hugely successful visit of England to Belfast.

"Following the huge success of the ODI at Stormont between Ireland and England it will be a delight to welcome Australia to Dublin," said Duetrom.

"Once again this match will raise the profile of Irish cricket."

The Clontarf venue is no stranger to hosting high profile games with West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh and numerous county teams having played in the Dublin arena.

Ireland's most recent game with Australia came during the Super Eight phase of the 2007 World Cup in West Indies.

Australia's last game in Ireland was at the famous Ormeau grounds in Belfast back in 2001.
