Andrew Strauss wins his fourth successive toss for England, who trail 3-0 in the seven-game series and bring in Joe Denly, Stuart Broad and Adil Rashid for Paul Collingwood, Graeme Swann and James Anderson
Meanwhile, captain Ricky Ponting returns to the Australia line-up after resting for the first three games. He replaces all-rounder James Hopes, while Rose Bowl centurion Cameron White moves down the order
Kent opener Joe Denly, recalled by England after injury, makes just 11 before he edges paceman Brett Lee to Cameron White (not pictured) at slip
Captain Strauss, who has hit 12, 47 and 63 in the first three games of this one-day series, finds himself playing the anchor role again for England on his home ground
Ravi Bopara, who averages 29.21 as an ODI opener since taking on the role in India last November, drops down to number three - and narrowly avoids being run out after a mix-up with Strauss in the 15th over
Strauss reaches his 18th one-day international half century with a powerful four through square leg, while his second-wicket stand with Bopara also passes the fifty mark
But Bopara falls for 26 when he misses a straight ball from off-spinner Nathan Hauritz and is given out lbw; England are 96-2
Strauss soon joins Bopara back in the pavilion when he miscues an attacking heave to leg and it skies up to Nathan Bracken at short third man. The skipper departs for 63; England are 111-3, and Nelson has struck
Matt Prior tries an unorthodox scoop shot - influenced by Tillakaratne Dilshan's "Dilscoop" over his head, and Mohammad Ashraful's "frying pan" shot over his shoulder
But having made 29 from 45 balls, Prior's stumps are shattered by a brutal reverse-swinging yorker from the returning Brett Lee, as England reach 145-4
Left-hander Eoin Morgan adds 28 for the fifth wicket with Owais Shah before he is smartly stumped off a wide by wicketkeeper Tim Paine to leave England 174-5
England belatedly take their batting powerplay in the 41st over, and Middlesex's Owais Shah attempts to use his knowledge of Lord's to give it some long handle and push England's score towards 200
But Brett Lee finds an extra yard of pace to fire in some fast, straight yorkers which shatter the stumps of Luke Wright and Stuart Broad, who are both bowled within three balls of each other
After Shah holes out for 39, Adil Rashid becomes Lee's fifth victim in his next over when he is bowled by another unplayable yorker - and when Mitchell Johnson removes Ryan Sidebottom, England are all out for 220
With Australia needing 221 to take an unassailable 4-0 lead in the seven-game series, Shane Watson and Tim Paine begin the Australian reply with a half century stand
Watson is trapped lbw by Tim Bresnan for 26, but this only brings captain Ricky Ponting to the crease - refreshed after being rested for the last few games
Ponting and Paine are in little trouble as they steer Australia past the 100 mark, while England turn to part-time off-spinner Owais Shah as early as the 18th over
Paine is caught behind off Adil Rashid just after reaching his half century, but Ponting and vice-captain Michael Clarke press on towards their target
Ponting entertains the crowd with his strokeplay, although one lofted shot just avoids the leaping Ryan Sidebottom on the boundary
As Australia pile on the runs, the match makes painful viewing for England captain Andrew Strauss, as his side slide towards a series defeat
Although Ponting falls for 48, Michael Clarke and Callum Ferguson see Australia home to a comfortable seven-wicket victory with six overs to spare - and the series is theirs
But it was an inspired spell of bowling by Brett Lee that turned the match - and he picks up a deserved man-of-the-match award from MCC president Derek Underwood, something of a demon bowler himself in his day
