The Jersey Cricket Board is preparing to host a touring team from Italy over the next week.

The Italian 'A' team are scheduled to arrive in Jersey on Sunday before playing a series of friendly matches.

Italy's first game will be against a Guernsey XI on Tuesday before playing a 20/20 match against a Jersey Cricket Board XI on Wednesday.

The Italians then play a 50-over match against a JCB XI on Thursday before a further 20/20 on Friday.

Both Jersey and Italy are using the tour as a chance to develop and identify young cricketers for the future.
