Derek Randall is run out in front of his home crowd at Trent Bridge after a mix-up with Geoff Boycott, and returns to the pavilion 'almost with tears in his eyes'.
Boycott - who was playing his first Test for three years - made amends with a first innings century. And by the time Randall hit the winning runs in the second innings, with Boycott 80 not out at the other end, this unfortunate run out was well and truly forgotten.
