Ireland beat the UAE by eight wickets in their last warm-up game ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in South Africa.

The Irish dimissed their opponents for only 132 with Regan West taking 4-21.

Ireland knocked off the runs in just 34.2 overs - Gary Wilson led the way with an unbeaten 83 while Niall O'Brien was 21 not out.

Kyle McCallan is almost certain to miss Wednesday's opening qualifier against Scotland because of a rib injury While Andre Botha (ankle) remains a doubt.

Botha continues to make steady progress following surgery on an ankle.

The victory follows a six-wicket win over Afghanistan on Thursday.

Ireland suffered a seven-wicket defeat by Zimbabwe 'A' the previous day after collapsing to 118 all out.

The Irish lost by a wicket in their opening warm-up game against an Eastern Province XI last Sunday.
