Five to watch at the IPL auction
Kevin Pietersen, JP Pietersen and Mohammad Ashraful are all set for the auction

Eight ambitious city franchises will converge on the Taj Aguada hotel in Goa where the second Indian Premier League auction takes place on Friday.

Forty-three cricketers from seven countries will be in contention for lucrative paydays, including, for the first time, England's centrally contracted players.

Kevin Pietersen will be the biggest catch, and with a reserve price of $1.35m, the former captain is the most expensive player in the auction - even though he will only be available for three weeks.

Team-mate Andrew Flintoff is not too far behind at $950,000. But which other players are in the shop window? And who will prove to be the day's biggest bargain?

BBC Sport profiles five players set to spark a bidding frenzy.
