Pakistan are poised to announce a tour of South Africa following the cancellation of the Champions Trophy. The tournament was due to have been held in Pakistan but was postponed due to security fears, leaving the Pakistan Cricket Board with a scheduling gap. "We are finalising TV rights, sponsorship deals etc for the tour which would be sent to Cricket South Africa," a PCB spokesman told the BBC. "Such series require a lot of work but I expect a schedule within 7-10 days." It is not yet known whether the matches will be one-day internationals or Twenty20 games. The South Africa Cricket Board has agreed in principle to the tour and it is now a case of the two countries finalising the itinerary. "We are working on it at the moment," the PCB's Shafqat Naghmi said. "It is a race against time as the tour has been finalised at a very short notice."
