Floodlit cricket returned to Norfolk this week at Vauxhall Mallards' annual cricket festival in Brundall. The fixtures culminate in the Stan Biss Trophy and Stan Biss Rose Bowl finals on Sunday and Monday respectively. Good crowds are expected at this year's matches which are a rare opportunity for people in Norfolk to see the game being played under lights. "It's a great chance to see some of the best cricketers in the county," said organiser Steve Goldsmith. Swardeston will be aiming for their fourth trophy of the season when they take on home side Mallards in Sunday's Biss Trophy final starting at 1445 BST. The 50-over day-night match is a repeat of last year's final when Mallards held out to win by just five runs. The two teams will also be competing in a Twenty20 competition alongside Great Witchingham and Norwich on Thursday and Friday. The last fixture sees Brooke play Fakenham in Monday's Rose Bowl final which starts at 1200 BST. "We look forward to a lot of people coming down to watch - locally it is a great opportunity for people as it is a long way to go down to Essex to see county matches under lights," Goldsmith told BBC Radio Norfolk.
