Ramsey were crowned champions of the Standard Bank Premiership on Sunday to cap an excellent season. The Northern side had an emphatic eight-wicket win over Valkyres, while second-placed Castletown were humbled by a nine wicket defeat at St John's. Valkyres were put into bat on a very damp wicket at King William's College and were bowled out for just 57 runs. Ramsey easily reached their target for the loss of just two wickets with Eddie Cleator making an undefeated 31. Castletown chose to bat first at Mullen-e-Cloie, but were dismissed for 128 by a very determined St John's side. Greg Hawke and Grant Atchison then led the Saints' reply with a century opening stand. Hawke was bowled by Mark Williams for 45, but Grant and Cristo Roelofse then saw their side home to a nine-wicket victory.
