Glamorgan manager Matthew Maynard says Darren Pattinson's selection for the third Test against South Africa left him "absolutely stunned". Pattinson was fast-tracked into the side after just 11 first class matches following an injury to Ryan Sidebottom. But Maynard believes others like Chris Tremlett and Simon Jones were unlucky to be overlooked for the third Test. "You've got to give Chris a chance because he was next in line," said the former England one-day coach. "I wasn't surprised, I was absolutely stunned. Chris was 12th man in the previous Test match at Lords. "And they announced Pattinson in the side ahead of Simon Jones who is leading the averages at the moment and bowling really well for Worcestershire."
