India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the final round-robin match of the triangular one-day series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.

Pakistan will now play India in the final on the same ground on 14 June.

An unbeaten 107 from Gautam Gambhir and a blistering 59 from Virender Sehwag led India to victory.

Sehwag's early onslaught ensured India were never under pressure as they made light work of a target of 223, Raqibul Hasan javing made 89 for Bangladesh.

India eclipsed Bangladesh's total in 35.1 overs, losing just three wickets in the process.

RP Singh, India's only change from the team which defeated Pakistan on Tuesday, was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3-46.

But it was the in-form Sehwag, who plundered 89 runs in India's 140-run win over Pakistan, who continued from where he left off as he cut and pulled Bangladesh's bowlers in typically ferocious fashion.

He reached his half-century in just 29 deliveries, but departed soon after while attempting to hook Dolar Mahmud.

India's innings lost momentum following Sehwag's dismissal with Rohit Sharma labouring to 26 off 43 balls before falling to a mistimed sweep.

But Yuvraj Singh (26), who was dismissed on the brink of victory, provided a solid partner as Gambhir held hit bat to see India comfortably home.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh never really recovered from the early loss of both openers with only 17 on the board.

Raqibul Hasan (89) and skipper Mohammed Ashraful shared a 76-run aprtnership for the third wicket, but the rest of the batting line-up could not sustain the momentum.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni: "We are doing very well at the moment with both bat and ball. Hopefully, we will be at our best in the final."

Bangladesh skipper Mohammed Ashraful: "The wicket was good for batting, but we did not have enough runs on the board. India played really good cricket."
