Guernsey batsman Gary Rich's unbeaten 50 helped steer Cobo to a four-wicket win over Wanderers in Saturday's top of the table clash at the KGV.

Wanderers posted a fairly low total of 147 all out from 40.3 overs, Cobo's TJ Ozanne taking 5-30, while Ben Driver hit 76.

In reply, Cobo struggled and were 21-3 at one point before Rich came to the crease.

His half century then steered his side to a winning score of 148-6.

It means Cobo are now clear at the top of the Guernsey Cricket Championship with five wins from five games and are firm favourites to take the title while Wanderers stay second.

At the other end of the table, bottom side Optimists are still looking for their first win after going down by eight wickets to second-from-bottom Argyll Investments at the KGV on Sunday.

Optimists were all out for 135, of which Mark Clapham made 55.

In reply, Argylls made 136-2 in 33 overs, Richard Angliss hitting 45, while Matt Le Tissier made 28 not out off just 15 balls.

The win moves Argyll above Rovers into fourth place in the table.
