St Austell and Truro both lost out to Devon sides in Sunday's second round of the Cockspur Cup. Truro lost by eight runs at Cornwood, whose 169 for 9 was too much for the visitors, despite 72 from Tom Sharp. While rain affected three Cornish sides, St Austell lost by three wickets at Plymouth in the day's other game. Batting first the Cornish side were 127 all out, Jack Kliber hitting 29. But Plymouth reached their target in 42.2 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Falmouth's home derby with Cornish champions St Just was rained off, as was Grampound's scheduled trip across the Tamar to play Bovey Tracey.
