 CI Over 50s have got off to a winning start after beating Cornwall |
The Channel Islands Over 50s had an easy nine wicket win over Cornwall at Grainville, Jersey, in their opening ECB championship group three match. Batting first, Cornwall scored 126 for 8 with CI captain Ralph Anthony taking 4 for 16 and Mike Kinder 2 for 20. In reply Channel Islands hammered the Cornish, making their target of 127 for the loss of one wicket in 29.1 overs. Andy Gibbs hit 59 not out and Dave Gorman got 45 not out for an unbeaten second wicket stand of 91.
