Yorkshire and former England star Craig White will turn out for Scarborough on Saturday when they entertain Doncaster. Scarborough also have batsman Ashley Lyth back for the Yorkshire Premier League game after he helped Whitby Town FC avoid relegation last weekend. Skipper Darren Harland said: "Ashley's back with us now for good, so hopefully we'll get a long summer out of him." Defending champions York go to last season's strugglers Appleby-Frodingham, while Harrogate host Yorkshire Academy. York will want to build on last week's astonishing display against Rotherham, in which Duncan Snell made 148 not out, and Simon Mason made 125. Wicket-keeper Nigel Durham said: "Simon's second 50 came off only 15 balls. I don't think we could have wished for a better start, certainly with the bat." | We gave a spirited performance in the end Harrogate skipper David Stiff | Despite Appleby-Frodingham's lowly status Durham warned: "We know in this league you can't afford to be complacent and it's important that we go out there and we try and take eight points." Harrogate skipper David Stiff saw plenty of positives in last week's 73-run defeat at Castleford, who they allowed to pile up 256-8. Stiff said: "Castleford got about 50 runs more than we were hoping. Unfortunately we dropped, I think, about five catches which were all off their main partnership." Stiff was delighted to see his Zimbabwean overseas star Simon Seager smash 56 off 57 balls at the end, despite his side being bowled out for 183 with one ball remaining. And he felt his side played well considering the lack of practice caused by poor pre-season weather. "We gave a spirited performance in the end," Stiff added.
