Windies secure Twenty20 victory
Twenty20 international, Port Elizabeth:
West Indies 60-5 beat South Africa 58-8 by five wickets

Steyn makes a mess of Runako Morton's stumps
Steyn's figures were the best by a South African in Twenty20s
West Indies made hard work of chasing a small target as they beat South Africa by five wickets in a rain-affected Twenty20 match in Port Elizabeth.

South Africa had been reduced to 12-6, but managed to recover to 58-8 from their 13 overs thanks to late hitting from Johan Botha (28 not out).

Runako Morton (20) put the West Indies on their way but fine bowling from Dale Steyn (4-9) checked their progress.

Wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin hit the winning runs with 19 balls to spare.

Heavy downpours at St George's Park meant the game had to be reduced to 13 overs.

And the hosts began in the worst possible fashion when Jerome Taylor utilised the favourable bowling conditions to rip through the South African top order.

Botha was the only home batsman to display any sort of attacking intent, with two lofted sixes the highlights of a 22-ball innings which also saw him require treatment after being struck on the chin by a Fidel Edwards bouncer.

Morton ensured the fireworks continued when the West Indies began their innings with big straight hits, but he was undone by a fantastic delivery from Steyn.

The paceman removed Devon Smith with beautiful inswinging yorker to temporarily hinder the West Indies's innings.

And Ramdin hit the winning runs when he pulled a short delivery from Vernon Philander to the square leg boundary for four.

West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo: "It was a fantastic team effort - what made it so special was the way we fielded."

South Africa skipper Shaun Pollock: "We got something of a total and then made a real game of it. It should be a good battle of the fast bowlers in the Test series."
