Windies clinch series in Zimbabwe
Fourth one-day international, Harare: West Indies (234-5) beat Zimbabwe (232-9) by 5 wickets

A record opening stand of 167 was not enough for Zimbabwe as Runako Morton helped the West Indies to a five-wicket win and a series-clinching 3-1 lead.

Zimbabwe got off to the best of starts thanks to openers Vusi Sibanda (96) and Hamilton Masakadza (80).

However, Jerome Taylor (5-48) tore through the middle order to restrict the hosts to a below-par 232-9.

Morton (79) and Marlon Samuels (62) then put 105 before Dwayne Bravo saw the Windies home with 18 balls left.

His unbeaten 41 from 41 balls eased the tourists to victory after the loss of Morton and Samuels in the space of 11 balls had threatened to derail the Windies' charge.

But it was a result that rarely looked in doubt after leg-spinner Rawl Lewis had removed Masakadza in the 37th over.

606: DEBATE

Sibanda fought on gamely, but wickets tumbled around him with Brendan Taylor (26 not out) the only other batsman to reach double figures.

It did not look enough at the halfway stage and even though Elton Chigumbura bowled Devon Smith with the first ball of the Windies' reply, the tourists soon settled into their rhythm.

Morton and Samuels combined well, sharing 14 boundaries, and even when they fell Bravo continued his fine form with the bat to ease his side to victory.

Prosper Utseya was the pick of the Zimbabwe bowling attack with 3-40, but it was not enough.

The fifth and final ODI takes place in Bulawayo on Sunday.
