Northamptonshire's Niall O'Brien could play against Ireland |
Ireland will play Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire in the new-look Friends Provident Trophy in 2008. The 20 teams have been placed in four different groups this time, with Ireland in the Midlands section.
The home games against Warwickshire and Leicestershire will be staged at the Stormont ground in Belfast.
Niall O'Brien (Northants) and Boyd Rankin (Warwickshire) could well come up against their Ireland team-mates.
O' Brien cemented his place in the Northants first team in the latter stages of the 2007 season, scoring 109 in a County Championship match against Leicestershire.
