Harper is among the nine umpires chosen for the World Twenty20 |
The nine umpires for the ICC World Twenty20 this autumn in South Africa have been announced. Australians Daryl Harper and Simon Taufel, England's Mark Benson, Billy Doctrove of the West Indies, and Asad Rauf (Pakistan) are on the elite panel.
Steve Davis of Australia, South African Ian Howell, England's Nigel Llong and Tony Hill from New Zealand step up from the make up the international panel.
The three referees are Chris Broad, Ranjan Madugalle and Mike Procter.
As had already been announced, the five officials involved in April's shambolic World Cup final - including high-profile trio Aleem Dar, Steve Bucknor and Billy Bowden - were all excluded.
The tournament takes place from 11-24 September in South Africa, with match appointments for the opening stage of the tournament to be made and announced in due course.
