Kallis had an outstanding match with 88 not out and 3-34 |
South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis termed his team's commanding 164-run victory over Pakistan "as close to perfection as you can get." Kallis was one of four South African batsmen to plunder a quickfire fifty in a total of 392-7 containing 10 sixes.
"All credit must go to our guys," he said. "We were positive from ball one and played good cricket to put pressure on them from the start."
Pakistan skipper Inzamam said: "We were indisciplined in batting and bowling."
Having seen his team lose the deciding Test, Inzamam was confident Pakistan could recover to claim the five-match one-day series.
"We can play much better than this," he insisted. "These guys have performed well over the last couple of years and I am 100 percent behind them."
