Neil McCallum's maiden one-day century inspired Scotland to a final ball victory in their opening World Cricket League match with Ireland in Nairobi.
The Scots were in trouble at 144-6 in reply to Ireland's 280-7, which was built around Jeremy Bray's 116.
McCallum cut the rate to 44 from five overs before he was caught for 100.
Kevin O'Brien bowled the final over with 15 still needed, but that was down to one from the last ball, which was a full toss that Craig Wright put away.
It overshadowed a fine innings from Bray, which was also his maiden international hundred.
Eoin Morgan hit Dougie Brown into the trees and skipper Trent Johnston joined Bray to add some lusty late boundaries in a respectable Irish total.

Scotland appeared to be in tatters until McCallum hit John Mooney and O'Brien for six, then smashed Dave Langford-Smith down the ground twice in an over.
The biggest six of the day came from Smith, however, and it came in the final over, and Wright added another to help avenge Ireland's win in the European Championships last year.
In Tuesday's other World Cricket League match, the Netherlands beat Canada by eight wickets.
Essex all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate took 4-31 and former Sussex pro Bas Zuiderent hit an unbeaten 77.
