Injured trio miss out for Kiwis
K Mills

Kyle Mills, Scott Styris and Jacob Oram are injured and will miss the start of the one-day triangular series in Australia, in which England also play.

Mills (knee) Styris (back) and Oram (hamstring) have all failed to recover in time and are consequently not named in the 14-man squad for the series.

Any of the trio could, however, make a return to team duty half way through the series, said coach John Bracewell.

Stephen Fleming will captain the New Zealand squad in Australia.

He returns to the team on Saturday for the fourth of five one-day matches against Sri Lanka, after being rested for the first three games of that series which New Zealand lead 2-1.

New Zealand squad: Stephen Fleming (captain), Andre Adams, Nathan Astle, Shane Bond, James Franklin, Peter Fulton, Mark Gillespie, Hamish Marshall, Michael Mason, Brendon McCullum, Craig McMillan, Jeetan Patel, Ross Taylor, Daniel Vettori.
