| Herefordshire's cricketers ended the Minor Counties season at the foot of the Western Division table but are confident things will soon improve. A 108-run loss to Cornwall in their final game meant they they ended with a record of one win and five defeats. But chairman of selectors Malcolm Morgan said: "We've got eight home grown players in this side. "These lads are learning on their feet and learning quickly but we're not expecting instant success."
