God has smiled on us, says Lara
D Bravo and I Bradshaw
Dwayne Bravo and Ian Bradshaw celebrate the Windies win
Brian Lara was delighted with West Indies' remarkable one-run win against India on Saturday but added that it was time to focus on the remaining matches.

The one-day series is level at 1-1 and the Windies captain said: "We have optimism going into the three remaining games but we have to be realistic.

"God has smiled on us. We have to come down from that height and look to perform at St Kitts and Trinidad."

India needed two to win from the last three balls but could not get home.

Dwayne Bravo was the hero, bowling Yuvraj Singh for 93 with the penultimate delivery with last man Munaf Patel stranded on two not out.

Man of the match Ramnaresh Sarwan had hit an unbeaten 98, some 77 more runs than the next best contribution from a West Indian batsman.

"India bowled well. Tackling the spinners was not easy, I had to be patient," he said.

"Thursday (in the first match, which India won) the wicket was faster, today it was more of a tennis ball bounce. I tried to bat the 50 overs."

We have done really well so far so there is no reason to panic
Rahul Dravid

India captain Rahul Dravid has told his team not to dwell on their agonising loss.

The defeat ended a record sequence for India of 17 successive one-day victories when chasing a target.

"We had to lose one at some stage," Dravid said. "It hurts but we have to accept these things.

"We have done really well so far, so there is no reason to panic - we have to pick ourselves up, and go into the next game and do better.

"I don't think it's totally disheartening for anyone in the dressing room. The guys know we can do better and there are areas in which we can get tighter and keep improving."

Meanwhile, India will prepare for next month's first Test with a two-day fixture against Antigua and Barbuda in St John's on 30 and 31 May. The first Test starts on 2 June.
