India have added paceman Sri Sreesanth and batsman Suresh Raina to their list of centrally contracted players. They have been rewarded for impressive performances during the recent home series against England.
Raina scored 242 runs at an average of 48 in the one-day series, while Sreesanth took 6-55 in the final game.
The Indian contracts system has three categories and they will be in the lowest, earning them an annual retainer fee of �24,000.
But they are still entitled to match fees for each Test and limited overs international and can further supplement their incomes with product endorsement deals.
Sreesanth is about to head to India's Pace Bowling Foundation in Madras to work on his tehcnique prior to the forthcoming tour to the West Indies.
"I am basically working on my yorkers. I am also doing my strength work and lots of running. I just want to keep the basics right," he told the Press Trust of India.
The central contracts system was introduced at the end of 2004 following four years of negotiations.
Grade A players receive �59,000 and grade B �41,500.
