Ali Asad helped rescue Pakistan in a sixth-wicket stand |
Holders Pakistan breezed past Australia by 163 runs to set up an Under-19 World Cup final clash with India. And Scotland ended their campaign with their fifth successive defeat, by 69 runs to Uganda, who now meet Ireland in Saturday's 13th-place play-off.
Spinners Usman Malik and Imad Wasim combined for six wickets in 11.3 overs as Australia crashed out for 124.
Ali Asad (66) and Riaz Kail (87) shared a sixth-wicket stand of 160 as Pakistan recovered from 80-5 early on.
Meanwhile all-rounder Patrick Ochan hit 64 and took 3-29 to give Uganda their first victory in the tournament and send Scotland home winless.
"We batted poorly and conceded too many extras again - that has been the story of the tournament for us," said Scots captain Kasaim Farid.
