Dhoni and Raina stayed calm under pressure to clinch the series
India captain Rahul Dravid says the peformances of Mahendra Dhoni and Suresh Raina in the win over Sri Lanka in Pune augur well for the future.

Dhoni, 24, and 18-year-old Raina stayed calm after a mini-collapse to put on 82 to clinch a four-wicket victory and a winning 4-0 lead in the one-day series.

"With guys like Dhoni, Raina and the rest around, the future of Indian batting is very exciting," Dravid said.

"It looked a close game but Dhoni and Raina made it easy for us."

Ajit Agarkar claimed 5-44 as Sri Lanka were dismissed for 261 and Dravid also reserved praise for his bowlers.

"We can't ignore the contribution of Agarkar and Harbhajan Singh, who bowled superbly and helped us restrict the Sri Lankan total," he added.

"It has been a very good team performance in the series, I hope we can keep it up."

The Sri Lankans were in with a shout of winning when they reduced India to 180-6 and captain Marvan Atapattu was left to rue another missed opportunity.

"We put up a good score but things did not go too well for us and India ended up finishing the game pretty well," he said.

"There were some crucial misses in the field but that happens when things are not going for you.

"We are now very keen to win the last three games and take something from the series."
