Ireland will play Kenya in the ICC Intercontinental Cup decider after dominating their semi-final against the United Arab Emirates in Windhoek. The game ended in a draw but Ireland had accumulated 20 points, seven more than the UAE who were on the back foot for most of the three days.
Ireland set UAE a massive 606 runs for victory after scoring 444-4 declared in their second innings.
And they restricted their opponents to 227-8 at the end of play.
During Ireland's second innings Jeremy Bray missed out on the individual batting record in scoring 190 with Niall O'Brien weighing in with 176.
Bray and O'Brien, however, hoisted the Irish record of 304 for the second wicket.
In the opening day's play the UAE were left to chase Ireland's first innings 350-7 dec, but they were bowled out for 189 with skipper Trent Johnston claiming 5-33.
Bray was chasing Ivan Anderson's individual record of 198 but fell leg before to Ali Asad as he edged closer to the target.
In UAE's second innings it was vice-captain Kyle McCallan who did most of the damage with his off-spin claiming three for 32 off 22 overs.
Meanwhile, Kenya stormed into the final after they came away with a much superior points total from their drawn game with Bermuda.
The final will take place on 27-29 October at the Wanderers Club in Windhoek.
