Kaneria bowled a marathon 53.4 overs in India's first innings |
Leg-spinner Danish Kaneria believes there is still a chance for Pakistan to turn the tables on India on the final day of the first Test in Mohali. He said: "The not-out batsmen Abdul Razzaq and Kamran Akmal are capable players who have made big scores.
"If they spend some time at the crease, the runs will come, and we can put pressure on India."
Kaneria took 6-150 in India's 516 all out. Pakistan replied with 257-6, leading by just 53 runs.
"I think a lead of 200 will be quite good," added Kaneria.
"Their batting line-up is strong, but we can put pressure on them if we take the lead to 200."
He said the pitch was providing assistance for batsmen and bowlers in equal measure.
"It's a good pitch. On the first day it helped the fast bowlers. Then it was good for batting. Now it is keeping a bit low. It's helped everybody - fast bowlers, spinners, batsmen."
