England captain Michael Vaughan was philosophical after rain ruined the sixth one-day match in Durban and handed the series to South Africa. "The boys bowled well. It's just unfortunate the weather intervened," Vaughan told BBC Radio Five Live.
"I guess over the course of the whole series 3-1 is a fair reflection.
"Two hundred and 12 was always going to be a difficult chase under lights. We lost two early wickets but still backed ourselves to get them."

Vaughan gave extra praise to Alex Wharf, who took three wickets on his recall, and a miserly Ashley Giles.
Wharf dismissed Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis with successive balls in the fourth over of the match.
And Vaughan said: "He's been unlucky to miss out. We just wanted to give him a try and he put the ball in the right areas to get two crucial wickets.
"We bowled particularly well with the new ball and we managed to squeeze them in the middle."
South Africa skipper Graeme Smith said: "It's very satisfying and winning any big series against England is a great feeling.
"Our team has played very well together and guys have always stepped up when they needed to.
"We had good partnerships, created pressure on the bowling front and all-round, the team played superbly."
