Speed and Mani will preside over the new scheduling proposals

Member countries debated proposals to change the current international cricket cycle from five years to six.

"We've discussed initial drafts and all countries will now be given a chance to comment on a revised six-year plan," said ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed.

"There's still work to be done but this was an important part of the process."

A special scheduling summit was followed by a meeting of its chief executives' committee (CEC) to consider the implications of a change.

"Once we have received comments from the countries the matter will be considered by the ICC board at its next meeting in Australia in October," added Speed.
