Rodney Marsh has accepted a new coaching role with South Australia. Marsh returns to Australia in September after four years as the head of the England cricket academy.
"Rod is one of the best cricket minds in the world, and it is a great coup," said South Australian Cricket's president Ian McLachlan.
"He will work with the cricket department to oversee our emerging talent, not to mention his capacity as a mentor for all players."
Marsh said: "I look forward to returning to the magnificent Adelaide
Oval and working with the next generation of South Australian
cricketers."
During his 14-year test career Marsh collected a then
world-record 355 dismissals and was also in charge of Cricket Australia's academy, based in Adelaide, from 1991-2001.
