Jubilee one-day international, Calcutta:
Pakistan 293-4 (49 overs) beat India 292-6 (50 overs) by six wickets
Pakistan crashed Indian cricket's 75th Jubilee celebrations with a six-wicket victory in Calcutta. Opener Salman Butt fought severe cramps in a career-best 108 and visiting captain Inzamam-ul-Haq hit 75 to win with six balls to spare.
As the sun set in Calcutta, Yuvraj Singh hit a cracking 78, helping the hosts post a venue-record 292-6.
But India's bowlers struggled as dew accumulated under the floodlights and made the ball difficult to control.
Yuvraj was also left to rue dropping a difficult chance at point when Butt had made just 29.
Pakistan knew bowling would be difficult for India under the Eden Gardens lights.

Inzamam said before the match that he hoped to bowl first, so there was some surprise when opposite number Sourav Ganguly chose to take strike. VVS Laxman (43) and Virender Sehwag (53) set the early pace with a stand of 82 after opening batsman Sachin Tendulkar was run out for 16.
Laxman in particular looked in fine form taking on fit-again pace duo Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Sami.
Having fended off the fast bowlers, though, both men fell to Afridi's variations of leg-spin.
Yuvraj returned to form with an aggressive 78 |
Yuvraj was far more fluent and Ganguly, back from a thigh injury, was able to tick along with singles. The left-hander hit 48 in a supporting role, although eventually an attempted hook at Akhtar saw him caught off a top-edge.
Yuvraj, who was dropped for the last two Tests against Australia, attacked anything on offer in an innings that occupied just 62 balls, with 10 fours and two sixes.
In reply, Pakistan's experiment with promoting Younis Khan up the order lasted just long enough for him to edge a swinging delivery from Zaheer Khan to slip.
A packed Eden Gardens was baying for more but Malik helped Butt settle in just his seventh international appearance. The duo shared a partnership of 113, with boundaries rare but singles and extras plentiful.
Although Malik was dismissed for 61 and Butt was forced to retire hurt for seven overs, Pakistan were on course.
Inzamam became increasingly brutal in his 73rd one-day half-century.
And Butt continued his pace to reach three figures from 120 balls as India's celebrations ended in subdued fashion.
