Andy Moles

Kenya coach Andy Moles during his playing days with Warwickshire in 1998
Born: 12/02/61
Position: Coach
Appointed: June 2003
Moles was a solid county opener with Warwickshire, who missed out on Test recognition, but he has moved into coaching at international level.

The 43-year-old was on an ICC coaching panel established to help emerging nations, having coached Hong Kong at the 2001 ICC Trophy in Canada.

Moles also spent five years coaching Free State province in South Africa.

His mission now is to prepare Kenya for possible full Test status, but lack of matches is a handicap.

Most of Kenya's players will only have played a handful of games in the six months before the Champions Trophy.

Moles averaged over 40 in a first-class career which yielded more than 15,000 runs, the highlight being Warwickshire's trophy-laden season of 1994-95.

Did you know? Moles emigrated to South Africa following his retirement from English cricket.
