Merriman has been ACB chairman since the autumn of 2001 |
Australian Cricket Board chairman Bob Merriman has been appointed onto a six man indepedent committee to review the Kenyan Cricket Association consitution. Kenyan General Manager Sammy Obingo said Merriman, who will also represent the International Cricket Council, will air his views over two days in October.
There has been tension in recent times, with disputes and court interventions over the control of the game.
"We need recommendations to help us move forward," Obingo explained.
On his visit to Kenya early this year, ICC president Ehsan Mani said the KCA should appoint a general manager to run their administration on a permanent basis.
The new constitution is expected to be ready in December, with the hope that fresh national elections can put an end to the disputes.
